You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers

How long will the procedure take?

Please plan to be at our clinic for at least an hour on the day of your treatment. The entire in-office procedure typically takes 15 minutes or less.

Will I experience significant pain after the procedure?

Patients say any pain experienced is generally minimal. Most take an over-the-counter pain medication to help ease any discomfort or swelling. Icing the hand can help as well.

How soon can I go back to work after the Guo Technique?

Those who work in an office setting with little to no manual labor often return to work the next day. People who perform repetitive work or use mechanical tools may require more time. Most people return to full activity within days.

Will the procedure affect my hand strength?

Temporary weakness in grip strength is not a common occurrence. Studies have shown that grip strength remains stable before and after surgery, with only a slight decrease observed in the first week post-surgery.

Is the Guo Technique covered by my insurance?

Not at this time. The Guo Technique procedure is far less than most insurance plan deductibles. Guo Clinic accepts direct pay from patients to speed evaluation to procedure time and reduce overhead expenses—passing that savings on to patients.
